Notified vide Government of Punjab Gazette-Extraordinary (Regd. No. CHD/0092/2015-2017) Notification No.5-Leg/2015 dated 12 February 2015 and registered with UGC u/s 2(F). With the spontaneous spurt in the demand for quality technical education, the premier technical university of Punjab, Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala, to reduce the regional imbalance in the temples’ delivery of quality technical education in the state, has been instrumental in the exponential socio-economic development of the state. The pressure is increasing. In order to bridge the gap between demand and supply of the employable technical human resources, Malwa region, a need was felt for creation of a new State Technical University in Punjab.
