About Karnataka Board :-

Karnataka Board of Secondary Education Examination came into existence in the year 1966, has been conducting SSLC and other examinations. The board controls and supervises the secondary education system in the state of Karnataka. It executes and controls various activities which include preparing courses of study, prescribing courses, conducting examinations, granting recognition to schools and providing direction, support and leadership to all secondary educational institutions under its jurisdiction. .

The Department of Pre-University, Government of Karnataka is the organization for the implementation of higher secondary education in the state. We work under the Department of Primary and Secondary Education. Every year around 10 lakh students enroll in 2-year pre-university courses after class X. The courses offered by the department are broadly classified under the categories of Humanities (Arts), Science and Commerce.
