Ishan Uday Special Scholarship Scheme 2021

University Grants Commission has decided to launch “IshanUday” Special Scholarship Scheme for North Eastern Region, to improve GER promotes higher education and to encourage children belongs to the economically weaker section of the North Eastern Region. ISHAN UDAY Eligibility Criteria 2021

In order to apply for ISHAN UDAY Scholarship 2021 Students must possess the below-mentioned criteria to check out complete details below.

NER domiciled students, whose paternal annual income from all sources is Rs. Does not exceed 4.5 lakhs.
Passed the twelfth or equivalent in the preceding year of study.
Candidates have first-year students of UG are also eligible to apply for Ishaan Uday Fellowship

ISHAN UDAY Allocation of Slots 2021

UGC will provide 10,000 (ten thousand) new scholarships per year.
The allocation of slots for each state will be done based on the population of the respective state (latest census report). If slots remain vacant in a state, incomplete slots will be distributed evenly in other states.
There will be three per cent horizontal reservation for differently-abled

Selection Process

10,000 fresh scholarships will be awarded every year
The distribution of slots among the states of the NER will be done on the basis of (final) population calculation.
In a state, if the slots remain vacant due to non-availability of eligible students, then that incomplete slot will be distributed equally in other states.
Reservation for PWD will be made as per the norms of the Government of India.
