• Each test paper will be of 3 hours
• All test papers will be in English medium

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)	one is correct, out of Four Options
Multiple Select Questions (MSQ)	Out of Four Options one or than one choice(s) that are correct
Numerical Answer Type (NAT)	No options are there for these types of questions. Candidates answer the questions by pressing the signed real number through the virtual numeric keypad

IIT JAM Marking Scheme 2021

• All sections is mandatory
• In all sections, not attempt questions consist of zero marks.
• In section-A, the wrong answer will result in Negative Marking. For 1 mark questions, there will be negative marking of 1/3rd marks. For 2 mark questions, 2/3 marks will be deducted for the wrong answer.
• In Section B, there will be no negative marking
