About NTA:
Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GOI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization under the Societies Registration Act (1860) for conducting efficient, transparent and international standards tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admissions to Premier Higher Education Institutions.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted by the Ministry of Education with the task of conducting examination for ANNUAL REFRESHER PROGRAMME IN TEACHING (ARPIT) w.e.f-2025.
About ARPIT:
The Ministry of Education(MoE) has officially launched online Annual Refresher Programme in Teaching (ARPIT) on 13th November, 2018, initiative of Online Professional Development of 15 lakhs Higher Education Faculty using the MOOC’s* platform SWAYAM*. For implementing ARPIT, 75 discipline-specific National Resource Centres (NRCs) were identified in the year 2018 and 48 discipline-specific National Resource Centres (NRCs) in the year 2025, which were tasked to prepare online training material with focus on latest developments in the discipline, new & emerging trends, pedagogical improvements and methodologies for transacting revised curriculum. For ARPIT 2025, Ministry decided to rerun ARPIT-2025 courses in ARPIT-2025. The ARPIT will revolutionize professional development of faculty by catering to massive numbers by leveraging ICT and Online Technology platform of SWAYAM.
About ARPIT Examination:
National Testing Agency (NTA) would be conducting the examination and certification would be done through SWAYAM. Faculty can use certificates for availing the equivalence recognized by UGC, as a refresher course for their Career Advancement Scheme. Non-Faculty Learners also would be given certificates from SWAYAM.
- The Examination for the ARPIT Courses is scheduled to be held on 10.04.2025 (Saturday). It would be a Computer Based Test (CBT) of three hrs. duration. The question paper will be of 100 marks with No Negative marking.
- The Examination of 48 ARPIT-2025 courses will be held on 10th April, 2025 in two slots/shifts as:

ARPIT Fee Details:
Faculty Learner:
In case of faculty who are working in any of the Indian Higher Educational Institutions, there won’t be any examination fee. For this purpose, the Faculty has to produce relevant proof of being a faculty in form of Faculty ID Proof/ Appointment Letter/Latest Pay slip/Promotion Order.
Non-Faculty Learner:

How to Apply:
ARPIT-2025 Exam Registration form may be submitted by accessing link https://arpit.nta.nic.in/. Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as given in the Information Bulletin and on NTA website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be disqualified.
