About NCHMCT JEE


National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The Council centrally run and regulates academics for B.Sc. Hospitality & Hotel Administration and ten other structured courses of study that are imparted at the affiliated 21 Central Institutes of Hotel Management, 22 State Government Institutes of Hotel Management, 01 Public Sector Undertaking and 14 Private Institutes of Hotel Management.

NCHMCT JEE 2021 is a national level entrance exam conducted for those students who want to get admission in Hotel management courses offered by the participating institutions. National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) organize the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) to offer admission in three years of B.Sc Hospitality & Hotel management courses.

NCHMCT JEE 2021 Counselling


There shall be 3 rounds of Counselling on the basis of merit of individuals participated in NCHMCT JEE 2021 Examination. The detailed process of counselling shall be available on the website www.nchmcounselling.nic.in along with the declaration of result of Written Test in the 3rd week of May of 2021. Before we speak further let us have a look at some of the important terminology of the NCHM 2021 Counselling procedure. 

Online registration:-

The first step to NCHM Counselling 2021 is to register yourself by visiting the official website A candidate needs to visit the official website for new registration. Aspirants are advised to fill the registration form very carefully. The registration process for NCHMCT Counselling 2021 can be done until the 2nd week of June. The process for online registration is given below.

  • Click on the “Registration” tab
  • Select Course from the drop-down list
  • Enter Name, Date of birth, NCHM 2021 Roll Number etc and visual code as shown on your computer screen.
  • Click on submit button
  • After successful registration, a login ID and password will be issued to the fresh candidate which must be kept safe for future use.

Choice filling & locking:-

As large numbers of institutes are listed under NCHMCT Counselling 2021, It is highly recommended to fill up your preferences starting with the most preferred Institute. You can choose as many institutes as you want. But it is very important to lock your choices at the time of registration. In case you don’t lock your preferences, the system will automatically lock your last mentioned preferences. So, it will decrease your chances of securing the seat in the most preferred institutes opted by you. Hence, it is very important to lock your preferences within the time window allocated for the choice filling. You may find these terms helpful while filling up the choices for the NCHMCT 2021 counselling process. 

Freeze A candidate, who is satisfied with the presently allotted seat to him and does not want to be considered for upgradations of the seat in any subsequent rounds of counselling is required to opt for the FREEZE option.
Float A candidate, who wants to confirm the seat presently allotted to him and also at the same time wants to be considered for upgradations of the seat in next Round of counselling on the basis of his/her already filled choices, is required to opt for the FLOAT option
Withdraw A candidate, who is not satisfied with the presently allotted seat to him/her and does not want to be considered for allotment in any subsequent rounds of counselling, should opt for the WITHDRAW option.

Online seat allotment:-

The seat allotment for various courses will be made on one’s merit in NCHMCT JEE 2021 written examination score card and choices filled by the candidates. To check the allotted seats after Choice filling, follow the mentioned instructions.

  • First Log in to the official site with the ID and Password given during the registration.
  • Take a print of the Provisional Allotment Letter (if seats have been allotted).

Reporting to Reporting Centres (RCs):

After seat allotment and fee payment, candidates have to go for their document verification. One has to report physically to the designated RC for document verification, fee payment, choice up-gradation and collection of provisional admission letter. At the time of reporting, fee payment of Rs.57,500/- (Rs.1000/- counselling fee+Rs.56500/- 1st-semester fee) through RTGS/e-challan payment with State Bank of India has to be made. After the freezing of the allotted seat, a candidate needs to report the allotted college with the following documents.

  • Admission Slip
  • Provisional Allotment Letter
  • Academic Fee Receipt
  • NCHM 2021 admit card
  • NCHMCT JEE 2021 result
  • Registration slip
  • Class X marks sheet and certificate
  • Class XII marks sheet and certificate
  • Moral Conduct certificate duly attested by Head of the Institution last studied in.

Withdrawal and Fee Refund

Before the last round of seat allocation, you shall be able to withdraw your seat which is accepted by you during the previous rounds of seat allocation. For this purpose, one can opt for withdrawal option present in the candidate’s login account. Withdrawing from the allotted seats will make an aspirant ineligible for the subsequent rounds of counselling. However, the candidate will be eligible for Spot Round of Counselling. Have a look at the withdrawal and refund policies for the NCHMCT 2021 Counselling procedure. 

Where 100% of the deposited fee is permitted (except the Counselling fee of Rs.1000/-)

  • Candidates who could not be allotted seat during first, second & Spot Round of Counselling are eligible for the refund.
  • Candidates who have been allotted seat during first and second rounds of Counselling but withdraw online through the system as per schedule. (Schedule of withdrawal shall be given during Counselling) are eligible for the refund.
  • A Candidate who has been allotted seat during first and second rounds of Counselling but not reported at Reporting Center for verification of documents within a time period, his/ her seat will be treated as Cancelled are eligible for the refund.
  • A candidate who has been Cancelled his/ her allotted seat due to fake board or incomplete documents during reporting are eligible for the refund.

Where part refunds of the total fee are permitted (except the Counselling fee of Rs.1000/-)

  • Candidates who have been allotted seat during Ist, IInd & Spot Rounds of Counselling and could not withdraw from the system (online only)
  • Above and not even reported for admission at the allotted Institute are eligible to get a refund only Rs.9900/- after deducting 50% of the fee excluding caution money.
  • Candidates who have been allotted seat through Ist, IInd & Spot Rounds of Counselling and reported to the allotted Institute but did not attend any class are eligible to get a refund only Rs.9900/- after deducting 50% of the fee excluding caution money ;

Spot Counselling

If after the sliding phase any seats remain vacant then the authority will conduct spot counselling for the vacant seats.

Filling of vacant seats

If somehow, any seats remain vacant even after the spot counselling round, then the procedure for filling those vacant seats will be notified by the Authority after the session begins.

Important Instruction:

Candidates are advised to read these important points on NCHM Counselling 2021 carefully before going for the NCHMCT 2021 Counselling Procedure.

  • The entire counselling process is ONLINE.
  • Right from filling up forms to choosing and locking up your preferences, you need to proceed ONLINE.
  • However, in the case of reporting, you need to present in person at the allocated institute for the purpose of verification.
  • You can choose as many institutes as you want. But it is very important to lock your choices at the time of registration. In case you don’t lock your preferences, the system will automatically lock your last mentioned preferences.   • In order to participate in counselling, clearing NCHMCT 2021 exam is a prerequisite.
  • Once you reject the seat allotment, you shall not qualify to participate in the further rounds of counselling.
